Members 1st Credit Union offers Apple Pay and Google Pay functionality to our members' debit and credit cards, making your transactions faster and more convenient than ever before.

What is Apple Pay/Google Pay?

Apple Pay and Google Pay are digital wallet platforms and online payment systems developed by Apple Inc. and Google LLC, respectively. These services allow you to make secure, contactless purchases in stores, within apps and on the web using your compatible devices, such as smartphones, tablets and smartwatches.

Benefits of using Apple Pay and Google Pay

  • Convenience: Carry less physical cash and cards. Simply tap your device to pay.
  • Security: Both services use advanced security features. Your card number is never shared with merchants.
  • Speed: Enjoy quick and seamless transactions at your favorite stores and websites.

Apple Pay set-up instructions

  1. Open the Wallet app on your device.
  2. Tap the plus symbol (+), then go to 'Debit or Credit Card'.
  3. Follow the instructions to add your debit or credit card by holding your device near the chip on the card. If your card doesn't have a chip, tap 'Enter Card Details Manually', then enter the card number, or tap 'Scan Card with Camera'.
  4. Verify your information with your card issuer. They may ask you to provide more information or to download an app before approving your card for use with Apple Pay.

Google Pay set-up instructions

  1. Open the Google Wallet app, or download it on your Android device from the Google Play Store.
  2. At the bottom, tap 'Add to Wallet' (+).
  3. Tap 'Payment card', then 'New credit or debit card'.
  4. Use your camera, or tap 'Enter details manually'.
  5. At the bottom, tap 'Save and continue'.
  6. Read the Issuer Terms, and tap 'Accept'.
